Structured packings made of plastic
VFF's plastic structured packings complement the range and offer a further solution in this area. Structured packings are placed side by side inside the column with subsequent layers rotated at 90°. The outer packing segments are cut to fit round column cross-sections. If HT-polypropylene is used temperatures of approx. 100°C are admissible for long term operation.
The packings are characterised by a low specific pressure drop and a high hydraulic load. Even in the case of high irrigation densities of approx. 100 m³/(m³ x h) gas loading factors of 3 √ Pa are handled without difficulty.
